He first came to Bonagilla (NSW or VIC?) and stayed in a refugee camp as a young guy of about 19 years of age. He initially worked in Darwin as a truck driver and a bus driver, and then moved to Cairns where he did some grape-picking, until he returned back to his homeland for a holiday and to find himself a bride.
